After our morning in Civita di Bagnoregio we took a random trip, and eventually ended up in a place we already had in mind to visit again: Orbetello. It's a very common place for many reasons, but we really had enjoyed an old spanish windmill resting all alone in the lagoon. We promised ourselves to visit the place again at sunset and take some shots of it, and there we were. Luigi had that place in mind for months now, and I was really happy we were able to find our time to photograph it. The sunset wasn't truly spectacular up until the moment when the sun disappeared: we observed a very thin and curved cloud formation painting something like a nimbus over the scenery. The colors were truly nice and warm: that's what Argentario is about. You may remember that I've already visited the zone of Mount Argentario before (yes, I already had a silly trip with Luigi near that place). If you don't remember and you are interested, you can check:
- This Journal with a small summary of the trip
or the following deviations (taken during the trip):

- We had Faith
- Into a Photographer's World

- Railway 162
- Caged Fairytales

This picture was made out of 4 vertical shots stitched together. I must admit I was a little "stupid" in choosing the settings for this one. I used a small aperture, too small... this led to slower shutter speed, and while doing a pano having slow shutter speed is not really the best situation possible. As a result it took me quite some work to stitch correctly (or "almost" correctly) the photos which had clear shifts in the clouds of the sky. I used a polarizer, a GND8 and a sunset filter (upside down if my memory doesn't fool me...). You should note that I've "cheated" a little here: there was a small portion of some sort of a quay on the right edge: ok, well, this time I decided to clone it off because it was too much of a distraction imho. Call me cheater, I couldn't resist this time, I'm sorry! =P
