While I was busy taking photos of the sea waves against the sun, I looked back randomly and realized the previous storm left "a gift" for us: a rainbow! Michela and I love rainbows, so I rushed to a good spot to take a photo of it before it vanished. I removed the polarizer (both because I didn't want the fuzzy colors of the b/y pola and because polarizers remove reflections, and actually rainbows ARE a sort of reflex! ) and used only a sunset filter to warm the sky and achieve a very "hot sandish" appeal. This is a 2-shot photostitch handmade with Photoshop CS2. Further modifications include the use of curves (for contrast) and some creative dodge and burn on the clouds to bring more details out of them.

We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
